Akwesasne, Saturday, November 7 2009 I am updating this post as I receive the reports about this incident.
10:30 pm
Onkwehonwe man (ex-Grand Chief’s husband) from Kawehno:ke, was maced earlier this evening (sometime between 8:00 – 9:30pm) , by C.B.S.A. union agents, while many witnesses took pictures – video of the incident.
Onkwehonwe man was taken to the cornwall hospital by ambulance. Onkwehonwe man’s wife was in his vehicle during the incident. Some witnesses were on their way to go view movie ‘law abiding citizen’ in cornwall theatre.
Witness Account: 5 or 6 cbsa union agents had Onkwehonwe man down on ground. One cbsa union agent had his knee on Onkwehonwe man’s back as they handcuffed him.
Witness Account: 6 cbsa guards yanked that guy out of his car. Witness Account: someone said he did not have id. What I saw, was a cop car pull in front of the car, and then they yanked the passenger out and then all the agents ran over and like 5 more jumped on him and then like xxxx runs outta nowhere and everyone in her truck too and go and then she started yelling at them then they started yelling at them telling them to get back to their car. And then it was over. Then when I went thru an agent from the other booth came and said “they had pepper spray in the car:” and the guy she was walkin with was rubbing his face. and that’s all I saw.
9:30 PM
Onkwehonwe were in the vehicle lineup sometime after 8:30 pm tonight and witnessed another Onkwehonwe get maced by C.B.S.A. agents. CBSA maced an Onkwehonwe at the northern edge of the Three Nations Bridge, at the makeshift CBSA checkpoint. The Onkwehonwe that was maced, was put in an ambulance. A typical long vehicle lineup is on the bridge, so the wait will go for at least an hour (typical)
More Onkwehonwe are commenting that they hope that Jim Ransom, Mike Mitchell, and Howard Thompson get their pens filled with disappearing ink, as they try to sell out all of Akwesasne and allow C.B.S.A. union agents onto our island with guns. Other Onkwehonwe are stating that they are disgusted by how the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe is planning to force another one of their government agents into the center of Akwesasne community.
