It pains me to hear (first-hand) about the treatment of Akwesasne residents by the "border authorities". Such immature spirits to think they are better (superior) to anybody else. I'm an Ottawa native (and a white man) and have learned that if humanity is going to save itself from self-destruction before it's too late, we must all look to the old ways of our own native peoples to help guide us to a brighter future. But still, we persist to persecute and maintain old prejudices towards the aboriginal peoples of this country (continent). I am ashamed not only for how the native peoples were treated by my ancestors, but I'm still ashamed as to how we continue to treat you.
However, it is good to maintain a positive attitude, no matter what has transpired. The past is the past and we all have RIGHT NOW to focus upon. May 2010 bring many blessings to the people of Akwesasne and all other First Nations people. We need you and your wisdom of earthly things if we are all going to survive.

Love!

If indeed there are human rights abuses going on, it is important to document these. Word of mouth, as well as written documentation are important. But, it must be remembered that we live in an electronic age. If it is within the means and determination of the peoples being abused, then maybe it is time to use cameras both within and without the areas of abuse. I am talking about an audio and video computer-controlled system that is deployed within general land areas and their perimeters. I do not now, nor will I ever, promote violence, but if violence is being used against indigenous peoples, then it must be captured clearly by electronic means so that it may be used as evidence at a later time.

It seems to be an alarming trend; CBSA destroyed the video they recorded when they murdered the Polish man at the airport recently.

CBSA claimed they never saved video of another young lady they assaulted on Kawehno:ke (cornwall island) a few years ago.

The only videos I ever hear of CBSA NOT destroying, editing, or losing ... are the video that they want to use to prosecute someone else.

What kind of organization, gives an accused murderer the keys to the evidence box and tells the murderer to guard the evidence?

"I have a feeling that the so-called mysterious original VHS may not even be the original and may be another edited version of the original. Why did CBSA state that the videos never existed?????????"

I highly suspect the VHS tape is not the original since there was mention of a hard drive in the hearings. Typically, from my experience, security recordings are captured digitally on hard drives and viewed on computer screens. The VHS tape is probably a recording from the hard drive for convenience viewing.

I agree with you Kris, that wikipedia can not be viewed as reliable. I have to add, that anything and everything published is suspect of being tainted, twisted, and half true (especially with English language forced onto today's generation of Residential School survivors).

At this stage of my life, I honestly do not believe anything 100% blindly. I always tell my friends and family to never believe anything I say, and to use their own brains to think for themselves.

I present my thoughts, info, discoveries here and I know that readers will use their own brains to process everything the best for their own goals.

Serious, do not believe anything you see on this website or anywhere. We each have a brain for a reason and that includes processing everything we encounter.

What I believe today is totally subject to change at anytime, based on the information and experiences that I am fortunate to see, hear, feel, and think about.

Just a note regarding your source material. Wikipedia is notoriously unreliable and should never be relied on for research. It can be a good starting point, but that's about it. The great thing about Wikipedia is that anyone can edit it. The worst thing about Wikipedia - in terms of reliability - is that anyone can edit it.

Speaking as an historian, I know that an argument is only as strong as the source material upon which it is built. By relying on a source that is as potentially unreliable as Wikipedia, you do your opinions and arguments a disservice. It is one of the many ways in which an author can undermine his or her own position.

See <a href="http://www.historyhelp.ca/blog/?p=178" rel="nofollow">this blog entry</a>, for example.

Please note that this is not an attack on your position or argument. Just some friendly advice about source material.

Will Freeman wrote to Monica:
You ask: "Does anybody know when the CBSA got the power to arrest, handcuff, and imprison Onkwehonwe or anyone for that matter?" 1978 when the Immigration Act came into power. The powers of the CBSA to arrest are currently stated in the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act section 138. http://laws.justice.gc.ca/eng/I-2.5/page-4.html#anchorbo-ga:l_3-gb:s_138
I'd be interested to hear the audio if you have it up.

I just got back from the movie & dinner. Wow, the videos showed how the NY State Troopers viciously, malicously attacked un-armed Onondaga. The Onondaga (children, elderly, women, men, women) were gathered around their sacred fire, some were smudging and NY State Troopers rushed them with Batons & Weapons drawn.

NY State Troopers smashed their batons onto the Onondaga - mostly about 5 or more NY State Trooper smashing on One Onondaga at the same time.

One NY State Trooper was caught underneath one of the Onondaga men, as NY State Troopers smashed him, and one of their batons actually smashed one of their own NY State Troopers out of his face.

More details on the way soon.

Here is a link to the mandate of Sgt. Michael Harvey
Cornwall RCMP Detachment. They have no mention of working as journalists in any capacity: http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/on/detach/cornwall-eng.htm

The Mandate stated on the above link states

"Mandate
The mandate of Cornwall Detachment is the enforcement of Federal Statutes and the Criminal Code. The enforcement units are all focused on the RCMP priorities of disrupting organized crime and terrorist activities and are divided as follows:

•Customs and Excise Section
•Federal Enforcement Section
•Criminal Intelligence Section: Cornwall has an Integrated unit which includes CBSA, CCPS, OPP, NYSP, USBP and ICE. Our role is to coordinate our efforts to make sure all the units are intelligence led.
•Youth and Community Service Officer: Mandate is geared toward crime reduction. This section works hand in hand with numerous community partners to plan and implement many varied community activities for local youths. These programs include, Racing Against Drugs (link) and Safe Grad.
Because of our proximity to the USA, Border Integrity is a major component of our duties. Given that the border in our Detachment area is located entirely within the confines of the St. Lawrence River, marine patrols are common place. In many cases our marine patrols are conducted in concert with our partners. The most recent example of this was in 2007 for Project ShipRider where RCMP members and United Stated Coast Guard personnel were cross-trained and cross-designated. We then conducted joint patrols for a two month period on both sides of the border.

The Mandate stated on the above link states

“Mandate

I appreciate your quick response and while I agree that the copyright issues lay largely with the media agencies you do have a responsibility to the media owners that copyright law is respected.

I am still puzzled as to your motives in supplying web sites to the media. Are these actions taken with any particular mandate in mind? Is there an accompanying brief with each website or video supplied?

Certainly public awareness of the border issue is very important
although I find the RCMP's role perplexing in that it feels obliged to take on the role of journalists in educating the public.

Regards,
Brett

Brett,
To also clarify, I forwarded the Watertown Times article that had the You Tube link at the very bottom. I did not go and search on You Tube and send it out. I do not take on role of journalist but my role does include educating the public on the border integrity issues we have in this area. And the media plays a big role in getting the message out there in educating the public.

I understand your concerns and I will focus more on getting our RCMP enforcement actions out to the media.

Monica you may want to bring international attention on issues happening here. About Oprah, just a suggestion...They always looking for interesting stories. Akwesasne needs support from other communities. You'll be surprise to see that people care but if they don't know what happening here they can't help. Human rights is a subject that some people are very interesting in. Peace

From Brett Mackey 2009-11-06 07:40 to RCMP Sgt. Mr. Harvey
>>>
Mr. Harvey
I would like to express my concern in your role of delivering a YouTube video without the consent of the copyright holder -Monica Peters- to CJOH news which aired the video on November 3rd. The following text is from YouTube in regards to using third party videos.

*******************************************
General Copyright Inquiries: Permission to use videos?
The rights to any screen shots or footage of third party content on our site are not ours to grant. You would need to follow up with the individual content owners regarding the rights to this footage. You may want to try emailing the user through your YouTube account.
*******************************************

According to Monica Peters the video supplied was edited to hide ownership details and the delivery of the video was attributed to RCMP sources by Scott Hannant of CTV. As you are named the contact I am curious if the RCMP has a policy in providing information to news agencies without acknowledgment of ownership and with little or no contextual information?

As you are well aware the border situation at Cornwall and Akwesasne is extremely sensitive and unsolicited information, that may be construed as misleading, sent to news media is both provocative and potentially dangerous. I hold the RCMP to higher ethical standards than is evidenced by your actions.

Regards,
Brett Mackey

Brett,
thanks for your concern. I often share public web sites to my media contacts to provide awareness on all issues regarding the border issues here in the Cornwall-Akwesasne area. I understand that the media agencies would then look into the legalities of sharing or airing any material that may not be public or needs approval.
If you have another concerns please let me know.

I think your question deserves an entire post to adequately explain the answer, as I personally understand.
A brief answer for now:

	<ul>
<li>Onkwehonwe is not an English language term. </li>
<li>A very rough translation of ' Onkwehonwe ' could be ' Original Being '. </li>
<li>Onkwehonwe can refer to those that are still in their Original character and have not allowed any of the British Corporations (including U.S. & Canada) to force their laws, certificates of ownership, status, and citizenship onto them.</li>
<li>Any English language term was created by Oppressors that literally abused, tortured, raped, murdered, brainwashed, and enslaved some of our Onkwehonwe ancestors</li>
<li>Just because I Refuse to quietly accept any English language labels to be used to oppress me, that does not equate to an act of War</li>
<li>Onkwehonwe follow Natural Law</li>
<li>Research into our past, shows that 'Mohawk' and all those English labels are actually trickery. Look at your own English origins too, because the Black's Law, First Edition has a very interesting explanation about the English word 'Mohawk'.</li>
</ul>

I will do my best to post a detailed response for you, within the next few days. It's very busy here, so I appreciate your patience, your interest, and your support.

Lots of mainstream media reporters contacted me today. I told every single one that asked me for permission to use my photos, videos, and comments that I DO NOT GIVE THEM PERMISSION to use any of my videos, photographs, stories, statements in any of their own stories.

It's no wonder why Onkwehonwe can not agree to work with mainstream media. I can't believe some of the slimy tactics they are using as they attempt to label everyone in Akwesasne, as criminals - animals, that deserve to be punished. Natural Law takes care of such shameful actions too, so I will try my best to be patient with everyone.

edited to be more clear. see <a href="http://www.akwesasnewomensfire.com/?s=plebiscite" rel="nofollow">tag plebiscite</a> for more details.

A Mohawk woman visited our home on Kawehno:ke (cornwall island) to ask me to give her my 'anonymous' comments for their plebiscite.

I'm not a 'member of akwesasne' and I've never been a voter in any canadian nor usa elections. Like most Onkwehonwe, I've been told by the 'membership board of akwesasne' that they will deny me 'membership', when ever they choose.

I never ask for permission to speak, think, or act. I just continue to exist and move as Onkwehonwe. Sovereign do not bow down and ask for permission to think, act, speak, nor write. The reason I state this, is that I hope others will also discover how our own words and actions are used as trickery.

Much confusion is going around in regards to freedom, sovereign, and most of the english language terminology being thrown around our community.

I refer to Black's Law 1st Edition to understand what the words actually truly intend for Onkwehonwe, Indians, Mohawks, Natives, Non-Natives, First Nations, Aboriginals, Iroquois, Confederacy, Nation, Citizens, and Members (each one is different).

I can agree with you for sure, and I think that we all are able to recognize those of our nations who carry an understanding of the Gayanerekowa in the comportment of their very being. I do not look for/seek our elders really though I've met many in most Kanien'ke ha:ka communities--though I've never been to Tyendinega--, it is more that I respond to a certain brightness in the eyes and lightness of spirit, a quality of genuine happiness, interest and attention, and a strong clear generosity in the spirit of sharing their knowledge. The Gayanerekowa unites us because we carry it in our hearts, and it emanates from our entire being and connects to everything so we easily recognize in each other, it forms really the entire background(no, that's not so, but a very significant part, especially in the civic dimension) of our most natural social dimension and consciousness, which again is perfectly natural in that it is our law, the law of these lands, and so informs everything we do.
I attended the community gathering in Kahnawake in solidarity vigil for Holly who has been missing for longer than three years now. I noted the comportment of the different speakers invited, to mention some- the representative of the illegal MCK looked unhealthy/heavy in spirit and his words made it seem as though he felt he needed to justify his presence, conversely a fluent Kanien'ke ha:ka speaker spoke amazingly, so fluidly & quick yet with clear earnestness, really the sound of singing in his own natural spoken voice (unfortunately I don't know the language myself) but just the sound was amazing, I've heard Kanien'ke ha:ka spoken a few times here & each time am able to recognize how the local accent expresses/translates an essence of the natural surroundings, since this is what I personally pay close attention to. All of this cultural understanding that our elders possess is far more valuable than anything else, far more valuable to us than the rest of the world put together!!! !!!! There was also a Christian priest invited to speak, maybe it's my personal prejudice towards all Christians but to me his statement offering the suggestion that we cannot/should not question their Lord's workings really turned me off. There was a woman form Europe who gave an earnest, and I thought rather abrading and a bit desperate, speech trying to convey that Europeans really are interested in the plight of missing indigenous women & girls, here(Perhaps she was, or at least meant to be sincere, but since they are the cause of all of these of our women & girls who have been going missing. it isn't making clear sense to me how to take them seriously?), and conversely a singing troupe of Kanien'ke ha:ka women singing traditional. There were two sisters who sang, very sweet & pretty voices, & the host who lightened the mood, I went away with the sense that a part of the reason Holly went missing is because her family is confused and do not have a good clear understanding and sense of who they are? It is beyond sadness, really...

I can agree with you for sure, and I think that we all are able to recognize those of our nations who carry an understanding of the Gayanerekowa in the comportment of their very being. I do not look for/seek our elders really though I’ve met many in most Kanien’ke ha:ka communities–though I’ve never been to Tyendinega–, it is more that I respond to a certain brightness in the eyes and lightness of spirit, a quality of genuine happiness, interest and attention, and a strong clear generosity in the spirit of sharing their knowledge. The Gayanerekowa unites us because we carry it in our hearts, and it emanates from our entire being and connects to everything so we easily recognize in each other, it forms really the entire background(no, that’s not so, but a very significant part, especially in the civic dimension) of our most natural social dimension and consciousness, which again is perfectly natural in that it is our law, the law of these lands, and so informs everything we do.
I attended the community gathering in Kahnawake in solidarity vigil for Holly who has been missing for longer than three years now. I noted the comportment of the different speakers invited, to mention some- the representative of the illegal MCK looked unhealthy/heavy in spirit and his words made it seem as though he felt he needed to justify his presence, conversely a fluent Kanien’ke ha:ka speaker spoke amazingly, so fluidly & quick yet with clear earnestness, really the sound of singing in his own natural spoken voice (unfortunately I don’t know the language myself) but just the sound was amazing, I’ve heard Kanien’ke ha:ka spoken a few times here & each time am able to recognize how the local accent expresses/translates an essence of the natural surroundings, since this is what I personally pay close attention to. All of this cultural understanding that our elders possess is far more valuable than anything else, far more valuable to us than the rest of the world put together!!! !!!! There was also a Christian priest invited to speak, maybe it’s my personal prejudice towards all Christians but to me his statement offering the suggestion that we cannot/should not question their Lord’s workings really turned me off.
I cannot believe that any of you are reporting to CBSA, learning that makes me ashamed of you! Are you not self-respecting Kanien'ke ha:ka?! Frankly, I have to suppose that some members of your community are taking money from Canada to pose/go through a ruse letting illegal agents take their vehicles and then letting that traitor Mike Mitchell act as though he can pay a ransom=it likely is an act, so get smart! IGNORE THEM, and get rid of Mike Mitchell and others like him=I don't mean sending them into exile, BUT I DO MEAN THAT YOU MUST ELIMINATE THEIR PHONY OFFICIAL TITLES!!!!!!!
And furthermore it had appeared that CBSA had been gotten rid of already. Similarly to the pretend acting I just explained for you is that, ' "Canadian Citizens" ' do not exist legally ANYWHERE, and so their pretending that an illegal notion such as an "Immigration Act" can even exist on our territory with any sort of legal validity cannot be tolerated. The U.S.A. & Canada are 100% illegal and that is all there is to it.

I am Onkwehonwe and I do not consider myself to be an 'aboriginal','indian','first nation','mohawk' or any of the European terminology that the British North American Act, is using to label their own property.

Canada is a corporation under The British North American Act.
Mohawk Council of Akwesasne is a corporation owned by Canada.

Onkwehonwe are not property, citizens, nor members of the British North American Act.

Just throwing this out to the internet winds, so that Onkwehonwe that are seeking information can start finding the trickery that is causing so much self-induced oppression in our community.

use the search feature to find out why and how those terms became property of canada -> mohawk, aboriginal, indiginous, indian, tribe, people, human, iroquois, nation...

Sometimes you can find friends online that have their own copy and they will look up terminology for you. That's a pain though, because they are all very busy with other projects, so it can be a very very long wait to get an answer.

Hi Monica & Cyrus,

I'm glad Monica, that in your posts you got around to clearly connecting 'Divine Law' & 'Natural Law'! I must say that I prefer to always go with 'Natural Law', in large part because of the blatant historical fallacies of 'Christian' thinking that can be inferred semantically when using a term such as 'Divine Law'.
On other subject matter related to this post:
Universal Archetypes:
- I am also interested in the subject of how it is that civilizations the world over arrived at creative insights that happen to align in the form of archetypal symbols, particular examples being the 'swastika' & 'infinity'... , however, in contrast to the notion that a reliable authenticate-able historical succession of treaty tying Onkwehonwe to ancient Egyptian society does/or even could exist, my own supposition nowadays is that, the coincidence of the emergence of archetypal symbols might have to do with an innate cognition patterning to our brain/mind/reasoning structural biology as a species, and am ready to go as far as to be speculating now that on an even more fundamental level we have each as individuals, access to an inheritance of 'genetic memory' containing ready structural inference to such basic formations, so yes a 'helical' structural formation would be another obvious one!

Origins of Onkwehonwe:
- I am most convinced, so far, that there is/could be a solid finding in the anthropological findings indicating that so called "Iroquoian" speaking peoples arrived on this continent from the ' "European" ' continent during a recent ice age when "Clovis" peoples 'existed'... I am not an anthropologist and do not have much more available info, whatever that stream of scientific inquiry/study adds on the subject I'll be paying attention to out of lay interest, what drew my attention is that aspects of specific theories linking similar carbon-date-able hieroglyphs from the two regions to support this theory from a human civilization cultural perspective, that also has proposed interpretations associable with the historical ecological conditions to representing main food sources of the society-societies, happen to be the same as what I've been pre-occupied with in my art, surprising and naturally peaked my curiosity...

Study/Education:
- I think too that Cyrus' relating how he follows his curiosity as a learning/study method resonates quite precisely with what I understand to be the Onkwehonwe philosophy about teaching & learning, that children or anyone are/is best encouraged to learn something really well & truly='by heart', by not being forced or overly prescribed as to how they ought to learn about anything, but instead that when one is interested/shows interest in a subject is the appropriate time to provide as much knowledge on that subject that they are ready to take on/study/absorb, and, I think that, as with all of the apparently unassailable soundness of reasoning that one finds in Ongwehonwe traditions, that this is the best & by far most effective way to teach/learn.

You will want to look at the 1st Edition of Black's Law. It is usually found from antique dealers on the internet.

I am looking at the Red Road as much as possible. The Red Road does not have european languages and artificial man-made laws. So, anything referring to 'confederate, european legalese, really does not belong on the Red Road.

Even as children, we all hear that we can not survive with one foot in the ship and one foot in the canoe.

Onkwehonwe languages are not supposed to become assimilated into european terminology either.

I know I sound hard-headed here. I have believed for many years, that our languages are the protection that the Europeans have spent many years and resources trying to destroy.

What can the Europeans do to us, when we absolutely refuse to ever speak their languages ever again????

For consideration/discussion on terms and their application(s):
Just to make the point, that what Onkwehonwe are accomplishing today politically, is a 'RESTORATION' of our society's inherent common law, and not a 'revolution' as this growing consciousness is often referred to as being. (?)
-Also, I've done a quick web-search to find the Blacks' Law Dictionary, and do you know of where to find open-source editions?

I'm glad to hear that the harassments have ceased, since I notified CBSA of their agency being placed into receivership effective last Friday evening, and confirmed yesterday by email that their communications have also ceased functioning! Now, we can enjoy better peace regarding that, and even so, this process is only just begun!

Cyrus,
I hope you understand that I speak for only myself?

It's not accurate to refer to me as 'believer' nor 'follower'. I research and question everything about what is going on in my community and family. I do the best I can to share what I discover with transparency.

I am Onkwehonwe. My family tree ancestry begins on Turtle Island.

I am a free spirit that sincerely enjoys learning all I can without asking permission from artificial man made laws.

She:kon Cyrus,
First I have to let you know that I only just started researching the topic of Camel Eye. It's also referred to as Eagle Bowl and other names.

I think it will be a good idea for me to post another topic regarding Divine Law vs. 2nd Law of the Land (man made law).

To answer your question about entering Cornwall:
I have some recent video that I still need to process and upload. I went to the cornwall cbsa checkpoint at the edge of our bridge, when we first got word that they were stealing cars and holding them for ransom.

I walked freely back and forth between our bridge and all over brookdale avenue, with my cameras. I did not ask permission from any canadian, to roam around our homeland. Many of us, that know about how the english language terms are being used against us..... many of us continued to roam around freely.

I made the mistake to assume some of the younger people understood Natural Law too, and I went back to my office to process the videos I shot. Within an hour, we received phone calls that police were threatening to arrest Onkwehonwe that are not experienced with 'roaming freely at large' around our homelands.

Divine Law is Natural Law. more on the way later.

Please fill me in. "What is the Camel’s Eye Treaty? How does it affect Akwesasne?"
I watched the videos, as you said, made notes and asked you to clarify a few points from them.(You said you were in the middle of the funeral procession incident) I understand that when the bridge was closed, "softspoken" people and "clan mothers" were denied access to the "Corporations" "barricaded" property.

"Some of us would go to each side of the bridges, get in front of our softspoken friends, and DEMAND that they get out of our way as we roam freely around our community. That works, because that is Divine Law, or 1st Law of the Land. "
People have entered Cornwall by Demanding the CBSA step aside? And that works?

Is the Camel's Eye Treaty a Divine Law? a belief?

I'll look around for more info(i'll add what i find), i just though that believers could explain some of it better.

I am also seeing many more that refuse to be 'spoon-fed' information, with a preference towards experiential learning.

I much prefer to experience the adventures of clearing paths, finding some recognizable order in chaos, and even being the first to discover new nuggets of knowledge that were once hidden, secret, forgotten, or even misunderstood.

I look forward to more discussions to help Onkwehonwe discover how we got to where we find ourselves today.

Onkwehonwe are not property of canada, british north american act, nor of usa.

Mohawk became property and are subject to anything that the corporations of canada, usa, and british north american act decide.

It's an ugly truth that we must acknowledge, if we are to remember and discover who we really are.

Check out Audio files on this site. Actually the CBSA union and Seaway Corporation hired the usa border, ny state troopers, etc to barracade our roads to our homes. that union and corporation does NOT own Onkwehonwe homelands!

CyrusYounger, I think you may have missed some of the incidents here in Akwesasne, so you just don't have all the info.

For Example: anyone here that is softspoken, claimed to be Mohawk, claimed to be travelling to/from usa/canada were outright denied access to island and forced to drive hours out of their way.

Some of us would go to each side of the bridges, get in front of our softspoken friends, and DEMAND that they get out of our way as we roam freely around our community. That works, because that is Divine Law, or 1st Law of the Land. That is how free Onkwehonwe behave.

Clan mothers that are given permission to exist from the British North American Act, Canada, or USA were also denied access.

I'm putting out as much info as I can as fast as I can. My time and resources are limited, so I hope you make time to continue looking at everything you do have access too.

Find the audio files on this site. Sometimes when some of us DEMANDED that the government agents get their barracades out of our faces.... we were not all softspoken, gentle, or even kind.

The key to our Sovereignty is literally in the Language, Terminology that we speak with and how we choose to exist and what we choose to allow others to refer to us as. More to come.

CyrusYounger, yes I agree with your points. My professional background involves alot of math and computational linguistics too, so that reflects on my personality.

One of the misconceptions in my field, is that many believe that 'Knowledge is Power'. I believe and promote my belief that 'Shared Knowledge is Power'.

I find that if I am not able to share my knowledge or discoveries, that I will often hit a roadblock on my own path of growth.

When knowledge and discoveries are shared with a community or circle of friends, that each individual is a small piece of the giant puzzle and we all grow or move forward to even more knowledge, based on each of our own capabilities of understanding.

Watched the video's for July 4, 6, & 8.
On the 4th, from the CBP perspective, crossing the border was not at issue: the Property Owner--Bridge Authority--was denying access to their property. The CBP were assisting in the closure of the Bridge. The CBP had advised the procession that they were not being denied the right to freely travel, there are alternate crossings(although inconvenient). The Property Owner eventually granted passage to the procession. Three or more parties could claim to have been responsible for openning the border since the CBP Agent announced the permission for the procession to them. (The Property Owner was responsible)
In part 3of3, the Camel's Eye Treaty was represented as a Papal Bull Treaty, correct?

On the 5th-6th, The Bridge was open, the CBP were receiving traffic from the north. Since this was now a border crossing issue, The CBP Agents could not deny people from leaving the USA, without prior cause. People were representing themselves as peaceful, were informed of possible violations to Canada Law, and were than allowed to proceed.

On the 8th: People were informed of the same possible violations to Canada Law, and were allowed to proceed with their vehicles after inspection.

The Camel's Eye Treaty was not mentioned on the 5-6th when the people crossed, they did say they represented: "Bear Clan", "Clan Mothers", "Peace", Respect," and "Good Intentions."
Kanietakeron aserted that the "Clan Mothers" were the First Law of the land, and was a "Divine Law". What is a Divine Law?

"The Internet is a free open society where censorship is not tolerated" Monica
Posting to our own Domains without being censored is our right. Others should not enter our domain and censor our opinions.
If other sites are taking down comments or are censoring, that is their right, they are the Sovereign of their site(territory). Censorship is an action to gain advantage over an other. Some may censor to maintain their view of reality--accepting information that could jeopardize their interpretation is censored, while others censor for mere profits--parlor games, slight-of-hand, social engineering, technology.
What is the Object of the Subject-censorer? Knowledge. Power structures have always recognized the effects that knowledge has on beings. From the Individual to the Company, many pursue knowledge so they can censor adverse knowledge. (People can claim to be a secret agent to pick up women, countries can claim that the world hates us because of our freedom.) By censoring knowledge that leads to adversity(he's not an agent/your country is oppressive), complacency can continue unimpeded--Power is maintained(a woman thinks shes dating a secret agent; a country bombs more haters). This is a dualism of knowledge: the ability to say and mean two different things to Others.

She:kon Cyrus, Check out the videos at
http://www.YouTube.com/monigarr

I started taking a more serious look at Camel Eye, after I was in the middle of the incident, where ny troopers, usa border, police, etc.... refused to let a funeral procession proceed with a funeral here in Akwesasne. The usa gov. agents were nasty and rude to the traditionals, themmohawk nation, srmt and certain Mohawk people here.

Then people that renounced 'Mohawk' and any type of citizenship of usa / canada, showed up at the scene. The gov agents listented to those non-Mohawks and let the funeral procession continue in Akwesasne. ** see the videos

That day and many other events around Akwesasne that I've witnessed with my own eyes and ears, caused me to start looking at Camel Eye more serious. Even our traditional elders are taking a serious look at it, because of the events and experiences that are happening around it, here in Akwesasne.

Much more information is available around Akwesasne.

Jesus warned that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 19:2326). I personally find the bible an entertaining read, in the past. Now I am interested to take another fresh look at all the information that is tossed around during our time here.

A good and thought provoking statement directed very well straight to the heart of the matter for those it concerns! As for myself, no-one ever has or ever could threaten me with censorship and so I do not live with this threat! And here are a couple of examples of how it relates to my experience... 1) just the other day I did a news search to find updated information reports on current developments with the Algonquin Nation and specifically the community of ' "Barrier Lake" '. Only two news items were produced from the Google search I typed in, and both dated to right around the date in early September when the Algonquin Nation launched their decisive action to force federal and provincial governments of Canada to comply with terms of a tri-lateral agreement! Very suspicious! so I left a comment on one of the news items-published by PacificPress & book-marked the page, which at some point I'll check to make sure my comment is posted, and eventually I plan to cross-check these activities a number of ways, 2) I wrote a comment to an article published in Newsweek while comments were still open and got a message stating . " Your comment cannot be published at this time, please try again later" ' which I did try immediately and also 'later' with the same result. So this is an instance that I am keeping track of to address more fully in time!
What I mean to imply by these examples is that many of us may have reason to be suspicious of censorship taking place on the internet, and what I would like to ask in return is, how should we understand and interpret our nations' laws application in these matters? Because while The American Library Association’s Intellectual Freedom Committee's definition may well be an interesting reference on the subject, it does not have any direct legal bearing upon how Onkwehonwe can best address the threat of censorship, and this is so because our application of our sovereign, which has sole legal force across our territories, is law that can only be defined by us!

Such harassments must be very annoying for you there, and yet I am wondering how it could be that any of you would even acknowledge the CBSA agents, and therefore how could your vehicles have been taken from you? That just does not compute as even physically possible, assuming you are all well aware of your rights and how to act= more like non-interact with them. Then, entertaining the idea that this could have actually happened, becomes rather amusing though only in a similarly annoying way since it means that we not only have the right- which we already had- but would in effect be obliged to uphold our sovereign status by taking their car-keys away from them, were they to ever behave with such disrespectful audaciousness, because it is our law that is to be upheld across our territory, their hollow proposition of their having any right or legal recourse to law enforcement anywhere within our territory ... ?-is undeserving of any kind of lawful recognition and is treatable as illegal only.

For now, it is time to call for a total boycott of Cornwall.

Second, we need to ask and wonder, what happens to those of us that go to Snye or St. Regis without reporting our movements? How long before they react to those movements?

UPDATE: Monday Sept. 21st 2009
On september 19th, Jerry Swamp stated that he did not request the police to close our bridge and MCA reps also stated that they never requested that our bridge be closed.

Now today, on Monday September 21st 2009, the cornwall standard freeholder published that Jerry Swamp actually did request that our bridge be closed down.

QUOTE:
"To protect the "safety of the general public," Swamp ordered an investigation into Mark's actions and requested the Cornwall police and OPP block access to the south span bridge for all traffic from Cornwall."

Puppets of the United States, duplicating terrorist tactics to subjugate the residence of an island community with one access road that runs through their island into Canada and the US. Now that winter is coming the CBSA is putting pressure on Akwesasne residents to provoke retaliation to give Van Loen an excuse to send in the police and army. A free people will defend their right to be a free people in their homeland regardless of whether they are recognized by the US or Canadian Governments. We need no one to validate who we are!

<strong>Border Watch</strong>

The CBSA Border Watch toll free info line offers citizens the opportunity to report suspicious cross border activity directly to the Agency in a direct and confidential manner. The Border Watch line differs from other phone lines for the public, such as Crimestoppers or the Royal Canadian Mounted Police info line in that it is designed to focus directly on border-related intelligence.

The toll free number is 1-888-502-9060.

I wonder if Onkwehonwe can also report the suspicious activities of cbsa agents, that are sitting at the edge of our bridge with their guns and demanding duties and taxes from Onkwehonwe that are travelling in our own homeland?

She:kon Cyrus,
I live on Kawehno:ke (the island) and I certainly do not comply to the 'immigration and refuge act'. I am Onkwehonwe, so I am not a refuge, nor am I an immigrant'. As an Onkwehonwe, I am not going to report (be interrogated, inspected, harassed) to our visiting 'immigrants and refuges' each time I navigate and travel from my own home. It's just another bully tactic from the cbsa union, seaway corporation, rcmp, etc..

Shekon; It is reported that Akwesasne residents are required to report to Cornwall before being allowed to travel to the Island. Is this true? Who is forcing Akwesasne residents to comply? Why are they allowed too?

RUMOR MILL ALERT -> It seems the rumor mongers went to the bingo palace and the casino, to spread lies in an attempt to trick Onkwehonwe workers that it is our own community's fault that their business is slowing down.

The Palace and Casino was starting to see more business, before the funeral procession incident. After 1pm yesterday afternoon, the military started stopping customers from being able to go through and do business with the palace and casino. Then they sent their rumor mongers to the palace and casino, to tell the workers that business is slow again, because of the Onkwehonwe that chose to move forward and bury their dead elder on the island (Kahweno:ke aka cornwall island aka northern Akwesasne).

I spoke with friends and they realize that this is another dirty political trick, with hopes to divide our community, our families, and our friends and get us blaming each other.

We all know that it is the usa government agents and the canadian agents and the cbsa that is blocking our roads, stopping our business, and stopping us from travelling and roaming in our own community freely though.

Actions speak louder than words. Video is on the way.

The person that wanted us to call this meeting, did not show up to the meeting. So Nona gave an impromptu briefing of recent events to the community members that did show up.

Jerry, Harvey, Larry, and Lloyd also told the community members about the days events, regarding the usa border guards, ny state troopers, and other police that tried to block the usa bridge and road on July 4th, 2009 - from the funeral procession.

I happened to be driving by the usa bridge at 10am yesterday, so I was in the middle of the whole incident, with my cameras for a few hours. I'll write a new post about it.

The Peace Caravan has never been cancelled.

Mohawk Council of Akwesasne (MCA) sent a press release out to the internet though. It stated that MCA, St Regis Mohawk Tribe, and Mohawk Nation Council of Chiefs want the Peace Caravan to be cancelled or moved to Ottawa.

MCA's press release ended with bizarre statements about the H1N1 flu as another reason to cancel the Peace Caravan.

Why does MCA choose to continue with everyone else's public gatherings, if they are truly so fearful of H1N1, as their dreadful press release states? If MCA is so fearful of H1N1, why are they all continuing their own public gatherings??

Why does MCA hope to stop Onkwehonwe from showing support to the people who live here in Akwesasne? <em>I am not asking the Mohawk Nation Council of Chiefs, because their PR man told me he never heard about the press release before and that MCA did not have permission to use the 'Mohawk Nation Council of Chiefs' in MCA's statements to cancel the Peace Caravan.</em>

MCA have not cancelled any of their events or public gatherings because of H1N1, including but not limited to their meetings in Ottawa, Niagara Falls, the Casino, local FireWorks Event, Government Elections, LaCrosse games, the Boat Docks, the Restaurants, the Schools, nor their own government offices (hundreds to thousands of people gather at any of them each week).

It actually hurts my feelings when a small group of people choose to use their job title, to create a press release and send it out to the public, with the cruel intention of stopping the Peace Caravan from visiting Akwesasne.

Why is the MCA so afraid of the Peace Caravan, yet they are still continuing with their own public events and gatherings?? Why are so many government agents surrounding Akwesasne and stopping friends and family from visiting us here on the island? (cornwall island aka kahweno:ke aka akwesasne)

My own sister, niece, and many elderly relatives and friends had to stop visiting me on Cornwall Island before the bridge was even closed, because of the undue hardship from cbsa or the usa border agents.

My feelings are hurt, but I have to say that I honestly hope that the people who created and published that hurtful press release, also attend the Peace Caravan.

So, whoever created that press release I talk about here, please do make the time to join us. I'm sad that you are acting from a place of fear, but I'm hopeful that you will find friends with your neighbors and family in Akwesasne and with those arriving in the Peace Caravan on June 30th.
